George Soros Fights for an Oppression-free Future

George Soros is a Hungarian-born billionaire with a net worth of just over $25 billion. He was born in 1930, survived the Nazi occupation of his hometown and later moved to England. He became an American citizen in 1961. He is well known for his amazing investment success and his support of left-leaning political causes.

Much of what Soros supports has to do with his belief that the common person does not have enough support and power against their own government. His support, financially and politically, of the Ferguson protests, is a prime example. The protests in Ferguson and in Washington D.C. were in response to the shooting death of an unarmed black man by a local police officer. Soros contributed over $33 million in a single year to help groups mobilize and show their frustration with how people of color are treated by law enforcement around the country. Soros had scaled back his political donations for a number of years due to his concern that any one individual should have so much influence in the system but began with full strength again during the last presidential campaign. His donations were given to the Clinton Campaign, the DNC and to other various liberal PACs and causes. He has been a staunch critic of former President Obama, who he felt did not pursue the liberal agenda aggressively enough and strongly opposed a Trump presidency.

Politics and business still take up a great deal of his time, but the majority of Soros’ attention and money is directed towards philanthropic causes. These include donations through his foundations to prevent religious discrimination and to protect the rights of women, the disabled and the LGBTI community. He has provided $5 million to UNICEF and the International Crisis Group. He gave more than $75 million to an African project designed to help end regional poverty. He has also given almost $900 billion to the Central European University in Budapest and $100 million to former USSR universities in Russia. Learn more about this article at

The Illustrious Career Of Dick DeVos

Richard DeVos’s (senior) oldest son is Dick DeVos. Richard Sr. co-founded Anway Corporation with Jay Van Andel. Amway Corporation is an expert in network selling. The firm distributes its personal care, health and household products through dealers. These dealers recruit second hand dealers who in turn recruit third level dealers. This chain goes on up to the final level dealers who are consumers of the products that pass through the product chain.
Dick was recruited at Amway Corporation in 1974. He worked in various positions for the different operating departments of the company. In 1984, Dick became the vice president of the corporation. He oversaw operations in 18 countries. I believe that his father wanted him to gain exposure on how other businesses operate. After gaining adequate experience, Dick left Amway Corporation to start his new venture, Windquest Group. In 1991, Richard Sr. appointed Dick to manage Orlando Basketball Franchise after the DeVos family had acquired it. While he managed the basketball team, Dick was also administering operations at Windquest Group.

In 1993, Dick returned to succeed his father at Amway Corporation. In 2000, Dick was involved in the process of restructuring Amway Corporation. Through the process, Alticor Corporation was established to serve as an umbrella firm. The umbrella firm comprised the Access Business Group, the Quixtar Corporation and the Amway Corporation. Through Alticor Corporation, the firm managed to expand its operation to over 50 countries, spread across six continents.

I am of the opinion that Dick resigned from Alticor in 2002 in order to participate in running his private organization, Windquest Group. In 2006, Dick entered politics on a republican ticket. During this period, he was regarded as the wealthiest man to engage in the gubernatorial politics of Michigan. In his campaign, he spent close to $40 million. However, by a 14-point margin, Dick lost to Jennifer Granholm, a democrat. This information was originally mentioned on New Netherland Institute’s website.

This high school seeks to provide a meticulous educational program that zeroes in on aviation.

Dick has provided funds and leadership towards the renovation of a $30 million downtown market, a $130 million heart hospital, a $75 downtown arena, a $90 million medical school and a $212 million convention center.
